Our Data Promise

We'd rather you trust us because you understand us, so here is what we promise, in plain English. Each promise says what it means on our websites today and links to the part of this policy that makes it binding. Where the plain words and the detail below ever seem to differ, the detail below controls.

1. Your data belongs to you, always. You can see, correct, export or delete anything we hold about you. Today that means one email to privacy@avenclarity.ai and we act within 30 days (usually far sooner). When the Aven Clarity app launches, you'll be able to do it yourself in the app. → Your rights and how to use them
2. We never sell your personal health information. Not to advertisers, insurers, pharmaceutical companies, or anyone. In fact we don't sell any personal information. We do use advertising tools (Meta on avenclarity.ai) to measure our own ads, and some state laws call that "sharing"; you can switch it off. → Who we share it with · Cookies, pixels and advertising
3. We hold ourselves to HIPAA-level care, and go further. Our websites don't collect health records. The Toxin Exposure Snapshot keeps your answers on your device: they never reach us, and your report is built in your browser. The Aven Clarity app is being built to HIPAA-level safeguards, so that no one, including us, can move your health data without your say-so. → What the Snapshot keeps on your device · Consumer health data
4. No AI training without your opt-in. Nothing you give us on these websites is used to train AI. If that ever changes, it will be opt-in only; opting out is the default. → What we collect and why

Who we are and what this covers

Aven Clarity is operated by Salugenecists, Inc., 4220 NE 135th St, Seattle, WA 98125, USA. This policy covers our two websites:

  • avenclarity.ai: our main site, including the waitlist, contact form and product preview.
  • ets.avenclarity.ai: the free Environmental Toxin Exposure Snapshot, its PDF report, and the Founder's Club offer.

The Aven Clarity app is not live yet. Before it launches, we'll update this policy (or publish one for the app), and we'll tell everyone on our waitlist.

Our websites are for adults in the United States. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

What we collect and why

We collect only what you give us, plus basic usage data from our analytics and ad tools. We never ask for, and our websites never receive, your Snapshot answers.

WhereWhat we collectWhy
Waitlist (avenclarity.ai)Email address, and whether you watched the product previewTo keep you updated on Aven and invite you to early access
Contact form (avenclarity.ai)Name, email, subject, messageTo answer you. We also add you to our contact list so we can follow up
Toxin Exposure Snapshot waitlist (ets.avenclarity.ai)Email address, whether you ticked "Keep me posted", and the dateTo add you to the waitlist; to send you news only if you ticked the box
Toxin Exposure Snapshot ZIP code (optional)Your 5-digit ZIP code, with nothing else attachedTo look up published water-quality data for your area. We also keep a count of ZIP codes we have no data for, so we can add them
Founder's Club depositName, email and payment details, collected by Square on its own checkout page; we receive the name, email, amount and dateTo take and refund your deposit and credit it toward your first screening kit. We never see your full card number
Analytics (both sites)Pages visited, buttons pressed, which question number you reached, device and browser type, approximate location from your IP address, and cookie IDsTo see what works and fix what doesn't. The Snapshot never sends your answers, score, ZIP code or email to analytics
Advertising pixelsThat your browser visited a page, and on avenclarity.ai that you joined the waitlistTo measure our own ads. See Cookies, pixels and advertising

AI: nothing collected on these websites is used to train artificial intelligence models.

What the Snapshot keeps on your device

Your Snapshot answers never leave your device. That includes the year your home was built, your results and your report.

  • Your answers live only in your browser's memory while the page is open. We don't save them to your device's storage, and closing or reloading the page erases them.
  • Your PDF report is created in your browser. It isn't uploaded, emailed or stored by us; the copy you download is yours alone.
  • The only things the Snapshot sends anywhere are the ones listed in What we collect and why: your ZIP code (on its own, for the water lookup), your email and "Keep me posted" choice if you join the waitlist, and usage events that never contain your answers.
  • Because we never receive your answers, we can't see, share or be asked to hand them over.

Who we share it with

We don't sell personal information, and we never sell or share health information. We use the service providers below to run our websites. Each gets only what its job needs and may use it only to provide its service to us, except the advertising platforms (see Cookies, pixels and advertising).

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect people's safety, or to a buyer or successor if Aven is sold or merged. In that case the buyer must honour this policy.

Cookies, pixels and advertising

We use a small number of cookies and similar tools, listed below. None of them receive your Snapshot answers, results, ZIP code or email address.

ToolSiteWhat it stores or sendsPurpose
Google Analytics cookies (_ga, _ga_*)BothA random ID and usage eventsAnalytics. Google signals and ad personalisation are switched off
Meta Pixel (_fbp)avenclarity.aiA random ID, page visits, waitlist sign-upsMeasuring our ads on Facebook and Instagram
Browser storage: preview watchedavenclarity.aiA yes/no that you watched the product previewRemembering it for your waitlist sign-up
Browser storage: team flagBothA flag that marks our own team's visitsKeeping our own visits out of our numbers. Only set for staff

Your choices

  • Global Privacy Control: if your browser sends a GPC signal, we don't load the Meta Pixel, and we treat it as your request to opt out of sharing for advertising.
  • Opt out by email: write to privacy@avenclarity.ai and we'll opt you out of any sharing for advertising.
  • Browser settings: you can block or delete cookies. The websites still work without them.
  • Google Analytics: Google offers a browser add-on to opt out of Google Analytics on all sites.

There is no common standard for "Do Not Track" signals, so we treat Global Privacy Control as the signal we honour.

Consumer health data

This section is our Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy under Washington's My Health My Data Act and similar laws in other states. We also publish it as its own page, linked from our homepage.

What we treat as consumer health data. We treat as consumer health data anything that could show your health status or your interest in health services, even if it's only an inference. On our websites that is:

  • the fact that you used the Toxin Exposure Snapshot and joined its waitlist (your email, sign-up date and "Keep me posted" choice);
  • anything about your health you choose to write in a contact-form message.

Your Snapshot answers, results and report are not on this list, because we never receive them (see What the Snapshot keeps on your device).

Where it comes from. Only from you, through the forms above. We don't buy it or collect it from anyone else.

Why we use it. Only to add you to the waitlist, reply to you, send you updates you asked for, and improve Aven.

Who receives it. Only the service providers that run those forms and emails: Brevo and Make.com. They process it on our behalf. We don't sell consumer health data, don't share it for advertising, and don't use geofencing.

Consent. We collect it only when you choose to submit a form. We won't use it for any other purpose, or share it with anyone else, without asking you first. You can withdraw consent at any time.

Your rights. You can ask us to confirm whether we hold your consumer health data, to get a copy along with a list of everyone we've shared it with, to delete it, or to withdraw your consent. Email privacy@avenclarity.ai. We'll respond within 30 days (usually far sooner); if we ever need longer, we'll tell you why. If we decline, you can appeal by replying to our answer, and then contact the Washington State Attorney General.

How long we keep it

We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes above, then delete it.

InformationHow long
Waitlist and Snapshot waitlist emails (Brevo)Until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. If you unsubscribe, we keep your email on a do-not-contact list so we never email you by mistake
Contact-form messagesUp to 2 years after our last exchange, unless you ask us to delete them sooner
Founder's Club deposit records (Square)As long as tax and accounting law requires, typically 7 years
Form data passing through Make.comNot stored there. Make keeps a short log of each delivery, which it deletes automatically after 30 days
Analytics data (Google Analytics)14 months
ZIP codes we have no water data forKept as a count by ZIP code only, with nothing else attached
Snapshot answers and reportNever kept by us. They are erased when you close the page

Your rights and how to use them

Wherever you live in the US, you have these rights with us. Some state laws require them; we give them to everyone.

  • Know and access: ask whether we hold information about you, and get a copy in a format you can take elsewhere.
  • Correct: fix anything that's wrong.
  • Delete: have us delete your information, and tell the service providers above to delete it too.
  • Opt out of advertising: stop any sharing of your information for advertising (see also Global Privacy Control in Cookies, pixels and advertising).
  • Withdraw consent: take back any consent you gave us, for the future.
  • Unsubscribe: every email we send has an unsubscribe link, or just reply and ask.
  • No penalty: using any of these rights never changes how we treat you, and the Snapshot works the same either way.

How to ask. Email privacy@avenclarity.ai from the address we have for you, and say what you'd like. We'll reply from that address to confirm it's you, and then act within 30 days (usually far sooner). You can also ask someone to make the request for you with your written permission; we may check it with you directly.

If we say no. We'll explain why. You can appeal by replying to our answer; someone who wasn't involved in the first decision will review it within 45 days. If you're still not satisfied, you can contact your state's Attorney General.

California residents: we don't share personal information with other companies for their own direct marketing.

Security, children, changes and contact

Security. Our websites use encrypted connections (HTTPS). Access to our email list and accounts is limited to the people who need it. We keep the sensitive part of the Snapshot on your own device, which is the safest place for it. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach ever affects your information, we'll tell you as the law requires.

Children. Our websites are for adults. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you think a child has given us information, email privacy@avenclarity.ai and we'll delete it.

Changes to this policy. When we change this policy, we'll update the effective date at the top. If a change affects how we use information you've already given us, we'll email you before it takes effect, and we'll ask for your consent where the law requires it.
